For a person with heart disease, eating a healthy diet is essential to managing symptoms. Learn ways to make budget friendly choices in shopping and meal preparation while following a heart healthy eating plan during a program entitled “Heart Healthy Eating on a Budget” hosted by Sarah Bush Lincoln’s Food and Nutrition Services.
This free program begins at 6:30 pm, Tuesday, February 28, in the Lumpkin Family Center for Health Education located on the north side of Health Center (Entrance C). It will also offer overall diet recommendations, suggestions for increasing fruits and vegetables and recipe and menu modifications.
