Lincolnland Hospice is hosting its 18th annual Memory Day, a program geared toward children who have experienced the death of a loved one.
Memory Day, which is geared for children five to 15 years old, is set for 10 am, Saturday, June 3, outside Entrance A of Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. Participants should meet in the lobby of Entrance A. It will be moved indoors in the event of inclement weather.
Memory Day will focus on cherished memories children have of special people they have lost in their lives, as well as pay tribute to them. As part of the event, children will plant flowers in one of the gardens near the Entrance A of the Health Center. Light refreshments will be served.
The use of Lincolnland Hospice is not a prerequisite for participating in this event. If you’d like more information about Memory Day, feel free to call Lincolnland Hospice Bereavement Counselors Dawn Sexton or Resa Ware at 1-800-454-4055.
