The new Sarah Bush Lincoln Toledo Clinic will celebrate its opening with an open house from noon to 3 pm, Sunday, Feb. 21. The public is invited to tour the new facility and enjoy refreshments. A ribbon cutting ceremony is set for 12:30 pm.
Physician Assistant Keith Ballinger began caring for local and area residents at the new location at 104 Courthouse Square in Toledo on Jan. 18. The phone and fax numbers remain the same. Sav-Mor Pharmacy also moved to the new location.
The new building features 5,500 square feet, a brick exterior with a canopied drive-up entrance, six exam rooms, space for two medical providers, and X-ray and Laboratory services. The architect was Utz and Associates of Effingham and the general contractor was Wohltman Construction.
Sarah Bush Lincoln purchased three lots on the northwest corner of the square and began construction of the new facility in May of 2015 to better meet the needs of the staff and patients. Sarah Bush Lincoln purchased the former building from Family Practitioner Lowell Massie, MD, in the early 1990s and renovated the building in 1995. The clinic has been in the same location for 70 years.
The former building is being donated to the Community Neal Foundation.
