Interventional Cardiologist Amit Dande, MD, FACC, has recently earned certification from the American Board of Vascular Medicine for general vascular medicine and endovascular medicine, an area of care involving catheter treatment of the peripheral arterial and venous disease and repair of aneurysms.
Dr. Dande provides cardiology and interventional cardiology care for people at Sarah Bush Lincoln through the Prairie Heart Institute partnership. Additionally, he was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, vascular medicine and endovascular medicine.

To earn the additional board certifications, Dr. Dande was required to demonstrate his interest in vascular disease by taking care of people with peripheral arterial and venous disorders. Additionally, his knowledge was tested in this area and he submitted data on the number of procedures performed, as well as evidence of completion of his fellowship training in this area.
