Sarah Bush Lincoln is set to purchase Clark County Family Practice in Martinsville effective Nov. 1. Patients of the clinic are being notified this week.
Family Practice Physicians David Davis, MD, and John Richards, MD, and Rachel Morrison, APN, and the entire staff are staying at the clinic and will be employees of Sarah Bush Lincoln. The new clinic will be named Sarah Bush Lincoln Martinsville Clinic.
Sarah Bush Lincoln Vice President, Practice Management Jerry Esker said, “We’re excited to make this announcement. Dr. Davis and Richards and Rachel are excellent clinicians and the staff members help run a tremendous practice.” He added that while the name of the clinic will change, patients would not notice much more in terms of changes. Patients will have access to a large network of specialists and specialty services at Sarah Bush Lincoln.
Dr. Davis added that his staff is also excited about the pending purchase. “We entered medicine to help people, but over the years, the administrative part of medicine has become more complicated and burdensome, with many regulations and more paperwork. Because of this, I began to explore viable options that would least impact the care of our patients. I am pleased that Sarah Bush Lincoln was interested in our clinic and aligned with our mission.”
The clinic will remain at the same location, 890 Ridgelawn Rd., Martinsville, and the phone number will remain the same as well, 217 382-4191.
